You can easily change the optimization settings of a Fireworks image placed in Dreamweaver by launching Fireworks from Dreamweaver and changing the settings in the Export Preview dialog box.
To optimize a Fireworks image placed in Dreamweaver:
| 1 | In Dreamweaver 2 or 3, choose Command > Optimize in Fireworks. |
| 2 | At the prompt to use an existing Fireworks document as the source of the graphic: |

Click Yes if a Fireworks source PNG file exists, browse to the PNG source file if necessary, and click OK. |

Click No if no Fireworks source file exists or if you only want to edit the bitmap image placed in Dreamweaver. |
| 3 | In the Fireworks Export Preview, enter optimization settings, then click Update. |

The updated image is saved over the old one in your Dreamweaver folder, and the image placed in Dreamweaver updates to reflect the change.
